Anfahrt nach Bordo/Cheggio im Valle Antrona:
Mit Bahn und Bus: Mit der Bahn nach Domodossola (von Bern ca. 1,5 Stunden).
Von Deutschland aus ist Domodossola normalerweise gut über Basel/Zürich/Bern erreichbar. Da zur Zeit (2026) aber überall an Bahnstrecken gebaut wird, kann es manchmal umständlich werden. Auch der Simplon Bahntunnel zwischen Brig und Iselle wird saniert.
Die Internetseite der Bahn, aber auch die der SBB schicken einen über Bellinzona oder sogar über Lugano. Schneller ist es aber, über Brig zu fahren (Zwischenhalt, "via" eingeben). Es kann sein, dass ab Brig oder Iselle Schienenersatzverkehr ist. Es ist aber immernoch schneller, als über Lugano zu fahren.
Mit dem Bus/Taxi ins Valle Antrona: Beim Ausgang aus dem Bahnhof liegt der Busbahnhof links in Sichtweite (Fahrplan Comazzibus), du kannst abgeholt werden (25€) (004915170146823) oder ein Taxi nehmen(ca. 40€).
Die Busse fahren relativ selten und abends muss man zuerst den Bus nach Macunaga nehmen und dann umsteigen Richtung Valle Antrona. Am besten fragt ihr direkt bei uns nach, wenn ihr wisst, wann ihr in Domodossola ankommt.
Achtung! Verwechslungsgefahr! Ganz hinten im Tal, am Lago die Cavallo gibt es die Alpe Cheggio, wo z.B. eine Hütte des italienischen Alpenclubs ist. Der Ort Cheggio liegt etwa in Talmitte am Südhang über dem Straßenort Rivera.
Mit dem Flugzeug: Flug nach Milano Malpensa, per Bahn (hier) oder Bus (hier) nach Domodossola.
Mit dem Auto von Norden:
A) Bern – Thun – Kandersteg – Lötschberg-Bahnverlad (Kosten ca. 28 sfr) – Brig – Simplonpass
–Domodossola
B) Lindau - Chur- San Bernadino-Pass - Bellinzona
C) Zürich - Gotthard-Tunnel (viel Stau!)- Bellinzona
weiter über Locarno durchs Centovalli nach Domodossola oder am Lago Maggiore entlang über Verbania nach Domodossola
Mit dem Auto von Süden: Von Mailand die E62 Richtung Lago Maggiore und weiter Richtung Domodossola und Passo Sempione, bzw. Staatsgrenze.
-> weiter nach Villadossola, dort der Ausschilderung ins Valle Antrona folgen, (ab hier ca. 15 min ins Tal hineinfahren, bis nach Rivera. Gleich hinter Rivera in der Kurve mit den Müllcontainern scharf rechts abbiegen. Die Materialseilbahn „Bordo“ ist genau oberhalb des Wendehammers mit den Mülltonnen, die für Cheggio ist links das Sträßchen rauf, nach ca. 500m auf der linken Seite. Dort geht es auch zum Anwohnerparkplatz von Bordo und Cheggio.
Die Orte Bordo und Cheggio sind nur zu Fuß erreichbar (7 min/ 5 min vom letzten Parkplatz für Anwohner). Parken bitte an der Materialseilbahn, wo das Gepäck aufgeladen werden kann. (Fussweg von dort ca. 20 min nach Cheggio und Bordo hoch, entweder auf oder parallel zum Strässchen zum Anwohnerparkplatz hoch oder von der Kirche in Rivera aus auf einem Bergweg (Bordo).

The Way to Valle Antrona:
By train and bus: Take a train to Domodossola ( from Bern it is about 1,5 hours), then take the bus to Antrona Piana: (Leaving the trainstation the bus station can be found to the left in about 70 m distance. (Comazzio Bus time table ).
You can also take a taxi (about 40 €) or arrange to be take by us from Domodossola to Bordo (25€) (004915170146823) .
From the North . . .
Notice! In 2026 there is a lot of construction work going on on the tracks in Germany, Switzerland and Italy. So it might be a bit more complicated, to go by train. The Simplon Tunnel between Brig and Domodossola respectivly Iselle de la Trasquera is as well in repair. The timetable of Deutsche Bahn sends you via Bellinzona or Lugano. All the same it's faster to go via Brig to Domodossola. You might have to enter it extra as a stop on the internet timetable. The train might as well be replaced by a bus between Brig/Iselle and Domodossola.
From the South you can reach Domodossola from Milano in about 2 hours by train.
By plane: Flight to Milano Malpensa (Italy), by train (here) or Bus (here) to Domodossola.
By car, from the North: Bern. Thun - Kandersteg- Lötschberg Bahnverlad (car train through Lötschbergtunnel) -Brig - Simplonpass – Villadossola. From Villadossola you follow the signs „Valle Antrona“ into the valley for about 15 min till you reach the village Rivera. Just after Rivera (about 300 m) you have to leave the mainroad turning hard right (where you see the garbage container on the left side). Just above the turning bay with the garbage containers you find the cable car for the luggage up to Bordo. (On the concrete platform the letters „Bordo“ are painted).
Bordo can be only reached on foot. (From the upper parking site for the inhabitants of Bordo, Cheggio and Alpe Cavallo its 5 min on foot.) But please use the space on the side of the road near the cable car. Your luggage you can put on the cable car to be pulled up. From here its about 15 min on foot up to Bordo.
